Francisco “Killo” González is a professional engineer who developed his artistry through self-taught techniques. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Francisco’s formative years where defined by a special admiration of nature’s colors, textures, and shapes. Moreover, his passion for surfing strengthened his connection with nature by developing a sense of environmental awareness that ultimately led him to pursue a career in construction engineering in hopes of influencing the industry towards sustainable construction.

His academic achievements in Stuttgart, Germany influenced his technical background as well as developed a new dimension in his creative process. His artwork portfolio reflects two opposite types of styles: one defined by the attention to detail and precision, obtained through his years in the engineering field, and another which reflects an attempt to imitate nature itself by merging different swirling curves and transforming them into something meaningful and visually appealing. As catalonian architect Antoni Gaudí once said:

The Straight line belong to men, the curved one to God”

— Antoni Gaudi

With this technique, straight lines are absent and "mistakes" are essential for achieving the end product. Francisco achieves this objective by rejecting any rational thought during the creative process and letting the subconscious take control.
